Removing permanent marker:
Permanent marker is, by nature, a really tough stain to treat with, simply because it's meant to be permanent. There are several ways to remove the stain from various surfaces. It might not be fully effective sometimes, but it's worth trying, because something good is better than nothing. Here are some life hacks on HOW TO REMOVE PERMANENT MARKER STAINS.
- Clothes - This becomes the most annoying when ink from a permanent marker gets on your clothes. The stain is not an easy one to go out so easily. So, to remove it, Hand Sanitizer works effectively. Just put some sanitizer on an old cloth and rub it against the stain. Then, wash the cloth gently with water.
- Walls - Now this is a problem for people who have kids on their house. Kids often do stupid things which people adore. But, writing on the walls is not one of them. Stains on the wall can be removed by cleaning the wall with toothpaste or hairspray. It's really magical how the stain vanishes so easily.
- Furniture - Furnitures are a real attraction of a house. However, permanent marker stains don't go off from regular detergents. So, to remove the ink, use milk. Just soak an old cloth on milk, squeeze the cloth to remove excess milk and then just clean the furniture with the cloth.
- Carpet - Stains are mostly seen on carpets and they're hard to remove. However, stain from a permanent marker can be removed using white vinegar. Just apply few drops on the stain and rub it.
- White Board - Teachers often get mistaken for using permanent marker instead of temporary marker and the writings doesn't get erased with white board eraser. The best way to remove the permanent ink is by erasing it with dry erase marker or pencil rubber eraser. It contains non-polar solvent that removes the permanent ink.
- Ceramic or Glass - To remove permanent marker writings on a ceramic or glass, mix toothpaste and baking soda in equal amount in a small bowl. Then, apply the mixture on the substance and rub it. Then, clean it off with water.
