We don't realize the true need of certain items until we are in actual need of it, or when we see someone else playing around with it. For instance, I have a pair of drum sticks that I don't really need or use these days. But, I don't let anyone use it too because when someone asks me for it, I start remembering all the things that need to be done with that stick, inside my forehead. Not that a regular drum stick might help us survive, but simple things like batteries, bottles, etc. can play a major role in certain events of survival in life. So let's get to know about some of these hacks:
- Battery emergency: During survival, batteries are a real life saver. Lots of important electronic gadgets require batteries. But what if you had only one battery and it requires two? Well, in that case you can just use a screw that fits in the battery position. That device will work normal for enough hours. Like, in torch, or radios, etc.
- Creating light bulb from water, bottle and bleach: Water and bleach, when mixed together in a regular coke bottle, reflects and refracts light, that creates a 55-watt light bulb.
- Pencil Sharpener for fire: Sharpener can be used to light fire by sharpening the pencil. The remnants are easily flammable and can be lit easily.
- Use chap stick as a survival tool: Sounds quite different but chap stick can be used in a lot of ways.
-We can use it as a candle that lights up for hours.
-It can act as an antecedent.
-It cures dry lips, face, etc.
-Apply on shoes to make them waterproof.
- Lighter out of battery and gum wrapper: Mostly gum wrappers have aluminium coated in them. So, cut a thin and long thread of a wrapper, roll it and hold them to both ends of the battery. It Lights up. Just to be cautious, use this hack only on extreme cases as it may cause injury.
These little things that we use in daily life can actually prove to be life-saving in survival situations. Live Smarter Everyday!
